I am happy to offer hula dance portraiture. I welcome the opportunity to work with any dancer who is interested in celebrating and preserving the traditions and culture of hula. I prefer to photograph dancers in traditional Kahiko outfits made by hand using natural and traditional materials. We hold great respect for timeless traditions, so please make sure your Kumu Hula approves of your participation in these photographs.
If you are interested in being photographed similar to the photos you see in the gallery and are an active student in a traditional hula halau, please contact me for more information.
The Hula Dance licenses many of its fine art images for use in advertising, websites, marketing, and promotional brochures. The Hula Dance photographs have been featured in such publications as Starwood Hotel’s Mailani magazine.
If you are interested in a particular image from The Hula Dance or would like to inquire about a type of image that may be available in our extensive files, please contact me so that we can discuss your needs and prices.
We are careful to always respect the Hawaiian culture. Please ensure that your use of any images from The Hula Dance will be used with great respect to the history and people these images portray.
